Can You Really Burn Fat While You Nap?

Many folks are not aware that their body is adapted to burn fat while at rest. The body does so naturally, 24 hours everyday. In fact, you will be surprised that your fat burning process occurs when you are resting. However, this depends on factors such as the frequency and intensity of physical activities you do during the day. So, is sleep really the best way to lose belly fat? Let me clarify this point further to clear the air. Sleeping alone is not the best way to lose fat and gain muscle.
Fat metabolism
The body normally stores excess fat as reserve energy. Nonetheless, after you finish supper, your body is burning off what you had for dinner. It is therefore prudent to avoid eating a snack in the evening because the calories will be gone amazingly fast, and at this point your body will instantly start utilizing the stored energy.
Simply put, after about 8 hours after you have dinner, all calories consumed from your meal are utilized up. This means that this is the prime time for your body to break down fat from its reserve and start metabolism. The process of metabolism is therefore the best way to burn fat while sleeping.
Harmfulness of evening snacks
Enjoying after-dinner snacks like ice cream is not the best way to lose fat as it interrupts the fat burning process. When you are unable to avoid snacking after dinner, then you may have a health problem or simply you just have a bad habit you need to overcome. The best way to burn belly fat is to allow the body to metabolize fat naturally a few hours in the evening. This is the best way to burn fat stress-free.
Is it natural to burn fat while you sleep?
Although it is natural to burn fat while you sleep, some people cannot lose fat while they sleep. The body has it own limits and for people who have conditions such as diabetes or hormonal imbalance, metabolism occurs at a much slower rate. You can check online tips for losing weight for more information on the topic. The good thing about most of the factors that hinder fat metabolism is that they can be avoided and done away with altogether. In other words, your body is supposed to get rid of excess fat naturally, so changing your lifestyle is the best way to stay on track.
Speeding up metabolism
Exercise is not always the best way to burn fat for your information. What does this really mean? Well, when your eat breakfast 10 hours after dinner, your fat burning system is up and running. This is why most people burn fat naturally while they sleep. The only explanation of how you can burn fat naturally while you rest or sleep never shuns the benefit of getting ample sleep. Ample rest and releasing stress are additional dynamics that influence your fat burning process. In a nutshell, the best way to burn fat while you sleep is to ensure you have breakfast 12 hours after dinner.

A recent report from Michael Zemel, Professor of Nutrition and Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville reports, "If you compare a dairy-rich versus a dairy-poor diet you can nearly double the rate of weight and fat loss with the same level of calorie restriction." It states that the calcium in dairy products can boost weight loss by increasing fat breakdown in fat cells. Therefore, dairy products could be termed as fat burning foods. These include milk, cheese and yogurt and might be considered a fat burning secret.
The best way to approach fat burning food is to start by implementing a sensible eating plan with the help of this free list of fat burning foods and begin an exercise workout program that you enjoy and will stick with.

Can You Really Build Muscle and Burn Fat At The Same Time?

Can you really build muscle and burn fat at the same time? Or is that
just reserved for the drug boys and girls? I know, I know, all those
amazing before and after pics in the ads, right? But how real are they?
In a study reported in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition
(58:561-565), "Muscle Hypertrophy With Large Scale Weight Loss and Resistance Training," subjects took off fat while gaining muscle.
Fourteen women followed an 800 calorie, high protein diet (80 grams of
protein, 97 grams of carbs and 10 grams of fat) - with seven of the women
lifting weights for 30 to 40 minutes three days a week and the other
seven women simply following the diet without exercise.
The study lasted for 90 days and the workout consisted of bench presses,
pulldowns, military presses, pullovers, curls, tricep extensions, knee
extensions, and knee flexion.
The two groups lost the same amount of weight - approximately 33 pounds.
The lifting group, however, actually increased muscle mass by 21 to 27
percent, while the non-lifting group lost muscle, along with fat.
"These results indicate that weight training can elicit muscle fiber
hypertrophy during periods of severe energy restriction," said the researchers.
"Strength declined in the sedentary group during the weight reduction but
increased in the weight-trained group."
The key to successful weight loss is weigh training - not walking, or any
other low intensity cardio program - and a high protein diet. In the study,
40 percent of calories came from protein, as opposed to most fat loss
diets that call for only 15 to 20 percent protein.
Now, let's get a few things straight. This is not an endorsement of severe
calorie restriction. Even if you get results initially, eventually your body
will rebel with a lower metabolism, muscle loss and fat gain.
However, it does show you that when you properly apply the fundamentals of
proper weight training and nutrition, you can build muscle while you burn fat,
and completely reshape your body.
If you really want to ramp up your results so you can dramtically transform
your body and do it fast, consider adding high intensity interval training,
or what I call power cardio, to your weight training program.
This type of training, along with intense weight training, is one of the best
things you can do to build power, muscle mass, speed, strength, endurance, and
lose fat! Proper power cardio can give you the best of all worlds.
A brief explanation of this training is that you do just that - train in
intervals, by alternating a brief period of exercise with a brief period of
rest.
And the overall length of your workout are much briefer in duration than your
typical aerobic sessions.
Power Cardio will -
1 - Burn more calories by elevating your metabolism so you lose fat faster
2 - Increase your power
3 - Increase your speed
4 - Increase your endurance
No matter what your fitness goals, power cardio is one of the best ways of
helping you achieve them. And the variations are endless. You can vary the
training parameters (exercise to rest ratio, number of intervals) to make the
workouts harder or easier, depending on what you are trying to accomplish.
You can also use any number of exrecises for your training, such as cycling,
sprinting, treadmill, elliptical trainers, jump rope, rope climbing, hill
sprints, and more.
Don't continue doing endless hours of aerobics that aren't helping you reach
your goals anyway. Get more out of your cardio workouts by performing interval
training.
If you want to build muscle, lose fat and get fit fast, you need to add power
cardio to a program of intense weight training. These two forms of exercise,
combined with a proper nutrition program, will quickly and radically change
your body from a before into an after. By training intensely in short workout
sessions, you can spend less time training, allow your body to recover from
your workouts, and more quickly see muscle building, fat burning results!

Killer Weight Loss Exercises to Burn Fat Fast

How do I burn fat fast? This is one of the top questions my weight-loss clients always ask. Most of my clients are in very poor physical condition. They have been on fad diets for years and years.
One client that came in last week has been on the Atkin's diet for a year. She told me that she lost a ton of weight doing her version of Dr. Atkin's diet program but her Medical Doctor told her to stop it because her cholesterol level was through the roof.
Now when I asked her what she had been eating on her version of the diet she proudly stated meat and lots of cheese. Well I asked if she bothered to eat vegetables or salads and she said nope not at all. I then told her that on the true Atkin's diet you only restrict healthy carbohydrates the first 2 weeks and then a person normally would start adding healthy vegetables to their diet especially leafy green vegetables. Then she again proudly states "Not on my version of the program" Well her version of the diet nearly killed her.
My point on telling you this is that many people have to get their body healthy even before they attempt to lose weight and burn fat especially if they intend to do perform any type of exercise.
So if you are so totally out of shape that walking up a flight of stairs has your heart pounding out of your chest and your lungs gasping for air I want you to consult your Doctor and ask him to recommend a good Medical weight loss specialist that can help you put together a safe program to achieve not only your goal weight but to get you healthy s well.
Now if you are healthy the following exercise will burn the fat off of your body in no time at all.
OK let's get started - Perform as many of the following exercises in the time period written next to it:
  • Burpees for 30 seconds
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Mountain climbers for 30 seconds
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Wood Choppers for 30 seconds
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Kettle-bell or dumbbell swings for 30 seconds
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Push-ups for 30 seconds
  • Take a 3 - 5 minute break and repeat the entire routine and then you are done.
Do this routine 3 days a week on non consecutive days and of course you must consult your medical doctor before starting this or any exercise program.
Medical weight loss programs across the country are helping people lose weight in safely and effectively. These Doctors and their staff will help you achieve the weight loss you desire and hold your hand step by step and guide you through the weight loss process.

4 Extremely Effective Steps To Burn Fat Fast - (You Might Want To Go Buy A Smaller Belt!)

Are you a "bottom line" kind of person? You know, someone who just wants to get to the point of a situation? If so, then you might find this article pretty refreshing! Today in this article here, I'm going to talk about and get straight to the point with 4 extremely effective steps that can help you burn fat fast, improve your total health, and where you can also do so 100% naturally. These tips helped me tremendously, and is the reason why I'm recommending them to you. In fact, they are so powerful, you might want to get a smaller belt and clothes before you start!

1. First things first. Be sure that 80% of your focus is what goes in your belly...

That's right, the key to unlock the body of your dreams is in your refrigerator and cabinets. You MUST ensure that you are eating the right foods in the right patterns if you want to get in the best shape possible.
I know that it can be pretty confusing these days with what works best for getting proper nutrition... to say the least! However, it's not really difficult at all. In fact, proper nutrition to burn fat pretty much comes down to:

A.) Eating many different types of nutrients that your body needs (healthy fat, healthy carbohydrates, foods high in antioxidants, protein, vitamins, and minerals).

B.) NEVER avoiding breakfast and making sure that this meal is jam-packed with all types of nutrients. This ensures you won't get annoying cravings later in the day, it helps boost your metabolism, increases your energy levels for the day, and more.

C.) Eating every 2-3 hours with lower calorie meals. Now, please understand when I say low-calorie, I'm not talking about low-calorie dieting. I'm talking about eating meals that are lower in calories, BUT, eating MORE meals spread throughout the day. Low-calorie dieting is dangerous and can lead to your metabolism slowing down.

D.) Eating to keep your metabolism guessing. This means shifting your calorie intake to prevent your metabolism from settling down to a particular pattern of how you eat.

2. Second, respect the power and intelligence of your body...

The greatest machine in the world is the human body... and it will always be so. Unfortunately, many people don't respect the power and intelligence of their bodies (especially when it comes to dieting). So many people will end up trying to do elementary-dieting which is the simple shotgun approach (eating a WHOLE LOT less calories, starving one's self, severely decreasing carbs and/or fats, etc.).

Although in theory lowering your calorie intake, decreasing carbs, and decreasing fats is important, doing so to the extreme is asking for trouble! Reducing nutrients too much, such as carbs and fats, is a bad idea because just like I mentioned in #1 above, it's important to include good carbs and good fats into your diet if you want to burn fat fast. This is because those types of nutrients help boost your metabolism (among other things).

It's also a bad idea to severely reduce calories because doing so will only cause your body to reduce the metabolism because the body thinks you are starving. When the body reduces the metabolism, your ability to burn fat also reduces as well! Give your body what it wants (what I mentioned in #1) and it will give you what you want (a lean and sexy body)!

3. Third, be sure to exercise to burn fat...

I know that sounded kind of "simple", but let me explain. You see, many people jump on the treadmill or do some other type of long duration cardiovascular exercises simply so that they can burn off a ton of calories. Burning calories is fine. However, if you want to get fat loss, you have to exercise to burn fat... not just lose calories.

How do you that?

Well, in order to get rid of fat through exercises, I recommend that you (if you haven't done so already) adjust your cardio around to do more high intensity exercises (such as sprinting or circuit training routines) or high intensity interval training (doing high intensity and low intensity workouts in one).

High intensity exercises and high intensity interval training (H.I.I.T) are exercises that REALLY get your heart rate up quickly. These types of exercises will skyrocket your metabolism, they'll cause fat to melt away, they provide you with a ton of energy after the workout is done, they take WAY LESS time to do (10-20 minutes for a great workout), and they will continue to keep your metabolism running high even after the workout is done! If you don't believe me, try wearing a calorie counter watch and watch how the calories burned continues to increase long after your workout is done!
Another thing I recommend you do is resistance training. Building lean muscle is by far the smartest thing you could do to burn fat. This is because having muscle tissue on you automatically burns off fat in order for it to develop!

4. Lastly, make sure you are on a fat burning diet and not a weight loss diet...

Basically, a diet based solely on dropping pounds is one that is based around reducing calories or nutrients way too much. This is better known as fad-dieting. Diets such as this are all around the place (Internet, T.V., magazines, etc.). They persuade folks like you and me to drop hundreds of dollars on their programs only to either not get any results or we end up with a slower metabolism!

If on the other hand you go on a diet based around decreasing your body fat percentage, you'll find that it is a much more practical approach to dieting and improving one's health. You will be eating instead of starving, and you will be doing all the right things to skyrocket your metabolism to burn off pounds of fat like crazy. This is the type of program I used, and a loss of 52 pounds of fat later, I learned through trial and error that a diet centered around lowering your body-fat percentage is by far the best thing you could do.

By the way, if you want to Melt Away Fat QUICKLY and permanently drop 9 pounds EVERY 11 DAYS, then the diet program I used and that I highly recommend is the "calorie shifting diet" from Fat Loss 4 Idiots...

I lost an amazing 52 lbs. of fat in 2 months using this popular online fat loss program... and it all has stayed off FOR GOOD! It works because it naturally raises your metabolism by having you eat REAL FOOD...

How to Burn Fat Fast With Foods - Go Catabolic and Burn Fat Quickly

Catabolism: The breakdown of more complex substances into simpler ones with release of energy.

Did you know that there are foods that when eaten, will actually burn more calories than they contain? The best part of these foods is they are perfect for supercharging your metabolism and burning stomach fat.
Most people believe that the principle of weight loss begins with 'if you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight.' While this is a basic premise to weight loss, the important factor is, you need to be eating the proper foods to begin with.

Our focus here are natural foods - fruits and vegetables - not processed foods that contain added chemicals during the manufacturing process used to preserved or enhance food.

Catabolic foods are foods that burn fat throughout the day. Natural foods such as: fruits, vegetables, and raw nuts are great sources for catabolic foods. These foods are low in caloric intake, but the body expends more energy metabolizing the food. The result is an accelerated metabolism that burns fat faster.

Here are some foods that burn fat fast. While this isn't a complete listing, it does offer the reader a starting point in which to identify what foods burn fat quickly:

Apples; Asparagus; Blackberries; Broccoli; Cantaloupe; Carrots; Celery; Cucumbers; Eggplant; Grapefruit;

Lemons; Lettuce; Limes; Oranges; Pears; Peppers; Pineapple; Plums; Radishes; Raspberries; Sweet

Potatoes; Strawberries; Tomatoes; Watermelon; Zucchini.

This doesn't mean that you can eat nasty, greasy foods for part of the day, and then make up for it by eating 6-7 apples. What it does mean is, with proper diet that includes Catabolic foods on a daily basis, you will see results fairly quickly. Satisfying your food cravings with Catabolic foods will aid you to reach your weight loss goals faster by burning fat on a continuous basis.

As an end note, drinking water before a snack or meal has been shown to fill the stomach, making you feel fuller. This causes you to consume fewer calories and stop eating sooner, which helps you to consume less calories.

Also during weight loss and dieting you body breaks down body fats which produces wastes that is eliminated through the kidneys. Drinking enough water is important to keep the kidneys functioning properly to remove these wastes. People that follow popular high-protein diets produce more waste products through digestion as well as from stored fats. Kidney function is even more important when on a high-protein diet.

The Best Exercise to Burn Fat Fast

The best exercise to burn fat must combine a number of features. Obviously it must use as many calories as possible. But it must also prevent your resting metabolism from slowing down, and should not bring on hunger pangs which are likely to increase food intake. Sounds simple, but in practice it can take a little effort to find the right program for you.

The first element of fat burning is to use as many calories as possible during exercise. This could be achieved by low level exercise for long periods of time, like the old favourite LSD - long, slow-distance running.

Alternatively it could be achieved with a shorter burst of much higher intensity exercise, such as High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) or sprints. The energy burn per minute is much higher with such a high intensity workout. So which is best?

As usual, the answer is not that simple. Long, slow distance-running takes up a lot of precious time, but can burn through a lot of calories per session. However, it improves the efficiency of the metabolism so that, if that is the only type of exercise carried out, the resting metabolism slows down, resulting in a lower overall calories deficit. On the other hand, high intensity workouts are almost certainly too demanding for new exercisers, and even in the experienced can increase the risk of injury and excessive fatigue. The major benefits are that a greater health benefit can be gained in a shorter period of time, and high intensity tends to increase resting metabolism, leading to a significantly higher overall calorie burn.

In practice the optimum for burning fat is a combination - some slower distance work and one or two sessions a week of high intensity training. Slower, however, doesn't necessarily mean slow. It means just slow enough to be able to keep it going for 30 to 60 minutes without stopping. It doesn't mean slow enough to be overtaken by babies on all fours!

Another factor to consider is lean muscle. The objectives of burning fat are usually to gain the health benefit from the improvement in cardiovascular activity and to improve the physique - get some muscles, and then have sufficiently little fat over the top of them so that everyone can see them! This also points to the need to build muscle using resistance exercise as well. Some make the mistake of trying to burn fat by ONLY doing resistance work, but it's very difficult to burn enough calories to get rid of a lot of fat without doing any cardiovascular work. Also this approach does not give such good health benefits as it does not give such a good cardiovascular workout. But adding resistance work to a regular cardiovascular regime is a good thing as it increases lean muscle mass, which not only looks good, but also helps to increase the resting metabolism (and hence calorie burning) giving more benefit for time spent in the gym.

The best exercises for burning fat are therefore a combination of high intensity and medium intensity cardiovascular work (running, cycling, swimming etc) and some muscle building resistance work. This combination burns the most calories overall by combining a high expenditure of energy during exercise and keeping the metabolism as high as possible after the exercise sessions have finished. Variety may be the spice of life but it's also the key to gaining the maximum health and fat burning benefits from the available exercise time.

The Best Ways to Burn Fat Fast

A very small percentage of people in this world are in great shape and have near perfect bodies with low percentages of body fat and an overall sexy image that they can easily maintain with no real stress or burden.

The rest of us, however, have to struggle with our weight and continue asking ourselves questions like, "How can I burn fat?" or "How can I lose a few extra pounds?"

When you are at the beach, you may be envious of the people that are quick to strip down to their bathing suits and swimming trunks because it gives them another opportunity to put their beautiful bodies on display.

More than likely, you might be the type of person always trying to find out how to discreetly wear clothing that appears to be relaxed and casual while still providing ample coverage for the areas of your body of which you are ashamed. If you want to know how to burn belly fat and how to burn fat fast, then look no further. This article was designed to get you on the right path heading directly towards your physical goals.

Your Diet is Essential

You can have the perfect workout regimen and may even go to the gym every single day. However, the only way that you are going to be able to enjoy the full benefits from your regular workouts is by eating right and maintaining a balanced diet. Studies have confirmed that several small meals throughout the day help you to burn fat much more effectively than having the ordinary three meals a day.

Fruits and vegetables should be an integral part of each one of your meals in some way throughout the day.

Eating an apple or a banana while you are on the run is an easy way of getting this done, especially if you do not have a lot of time to boil or steam an actual dish or delicacy throughout the day. Your body needs that constant nourishment, but you need to make sure that it is healthy food and not just an overabundance of junk food.

Exercise, Exercise and then Exercise!

Along with a balanced diet of several small meals throughout the day, you need to definitely have a regular exercise plan to burn belly fat and get the results of which you have been searching. While it is very possible for you to lose weight simply by changing your eating habits, the best way of getting the quickest results would be to maintain a regular workout schedule.

Exercising elevates your heartbeat which stimulates your metabolism and causes you to burn fat and calories much quicker than living a life without exercise will ever accomplish. You will be able to gain muscle mass, burn fat and have much more energy throughout the day by keeping that routine up consistently.

While there is a wide range of pills and potions on the market today claiming to help you lose weight, regular exercise and a balanced diet can truly help you burn fat fast and work progressively towards molding your body into the body of your dreams.
